Not sure I am ready for this, but it looks like I’m going to have to outthink and outdrink my children’s friends to stay ahead of them in the workplace. just published  History and Hooch by a good guy I’ve known since he was 5.  I’m not sure he learned everything he needed to know in kindergarten. I don’t remember much emphasis on booze, but perhaps my children kept it on the down-low.

I had a young editor for Insiders’ Guide to Richmond who was great to work with, but I’m not sure it was the best match for me since there is no such thing as too much snarkiness to a twenty-something editor. And I have been known to lean toward the snarky. At least I knew enough not to say about Short Pump, a la Gertrude Stein: There’s no there there–just what to wear there.
